GWO btt Hydraulic module

Target audience:

The Basic Technical Training modules are targeted at candidates who have no previous experience of hydraulic, mechanical, electrical or installation systems but may also be used to up skill candidates who have some knowledge but not of their application in wind turbines.

The aim of the course:

The aim of the BTT Hydraulic Module is to give the Delegates the knowledge and skills to carry out basic hydraulic tasks (supervised by an experienced technician), using safe working procedures and the correct PPE.

Course content:

• Basics of hydraulics
• Risks and hazards associated with hydraulic work
• Functions of different types of pumps and checking start/stop pressure of a pump
• Functions of different types of actuators
• Functions of different types of valves
• Functions of accumulators and checking and precharge them
• Functions of different types of sensors
• Identification of the components which transfer the oil
• Handling of oil procedures
• Identification of different components on a hydraulic diagram
• Measuring the hydraulic pressure accurately
